Change in the Proportion of Self-reported Indigenous and Non-Indigenous People in Canada – Text Version

The line graph shows that, overall, the percentage of self-reported Indigenous and non- Indigenous people in Canada with at least a high school diploma increased between 2001 and 2021. However, the increase among non- Indigenous people has always outpaced that of Indigenous people in this respect. More specifically, the percentage of people with at least a high school diploma increased as follows for each group:
